MSA-018 : 23.0% NCO Polyester/MDI Prepolymer with low functionality



MSA-018 is a polyester based MDI prepolymer used in a variety of exclusive formulations by Northstar Polymers, and it may also be used in many other custom formulations. MSA-018 is extended by polyester polyol, which has a good affinity with many polar type raw materials. It is liquid at room temperature, so it can also be used as a component for room-temperaturecure systems and flexible foams. Its higher surface energy helps cell-opening property in flexible foam formulations. The MDI functionality of MSA-018 is close to 2.0, which helps compounding polyester based quasi systems with good tensile/elongation properties.



MSA-031 : 13.5% NCO Polyeser/MDI Prepolymer for 60D Hardness Elastomer molding compound and more



MSA-031 is a polyester based MDI prepolymer used in a high-performance casting elastomer system by Northstar Polymers it may also be used in many other custom polyurethane formulations. MSA-031 makes Shore Durometer 60D hardness non-foam elastomer when cured with 1,4 butanediol, and it can also be compounded with many other types of curing agents. MSA-031 is extended by polyester polyol, which has a good affinity with many polar raw materials. The MDI functionality of MSA-031 is close to 2.0, which helps compounding polyester based quasi systems with good tensile/elongation properties.


MSA-042 : 9.6% NCO Polyester/mdi prepolymer for 95A hardness elastomer molding compound and more



MSA-042 is polyester based MDI prepolymer used in exclusive polyurethane casting resin formulations by Northstar Polymers it can also be used in many other custom applications. MSA-042 makes Shore Durometer 95A hardness non-foam elastomer when cured with 1,4 butanediol, and it can also be compounded with many other types of curing agents. MSA-042 is extended by polyester polyol, which has a good affinity with many polar raw materials. The MDI functionality of MSA-042 is 2.15, which helps polyurethane molding compound creating good green strength for fast demolding time.


MSA-052 : 8.1% NCO polyester/MDI prepolymer for 90A Hardness elastomer molding compound and more



MSA-052 is a polyester based MDI prepolymer used in exclusive polyurethane casting resin formulations by Northstar Polymers it can also be used in many other custom applications. MSA-052 makes Shore Durometer 90A hardness non-foam high-performance elastomer when cured with 1,4 butanediol, and it can also be compounded with many other types of curing agents. MSA-052 is extended by polyester polyol, which has a good affinity with many polar raw materials. The MDI functionality of MSA-052 is 2.15, which helps polyurethane molding compound creating good green strength for fast demolding time.


MSA-063 : 6.7% NCO Polyester/MDI Prepolymer for Molding compound and various other applications



MSA-063 is designed by Northstar Polymers for use with a variety of curing agents. The resulting series of systems yield cured elastomers that cover a range of hardness values while sharing the features of this prepolymer. MSA-063 is commonly used in applications that demand abrasion resistance with strength and tear resistance.



PTMEG-MDI Prepolymer Products



PTMEG-MDI PREPOLYMER PRODUCTS ARE USED AS PRECURSOR MATERIAL IN MOLDING COMPOUND, SEALANTS AND ADHESIVES, COATING MATERIAL. MOLDED PRODUCTS AND FILMS CONTAINING PTMEG-MDI PREPOLYMERS EXHIBIT VERY GOOD HYDROLITIC STABILITY AND HIGH REBOUND/RESILIENCY.

MGA-036 is high performance PTMEG-MDI polyether prepolymer, which is one of a series designed by Northstar Polymers. MGA-048 is a high performance PTMEG polyether prepolymer, which is one of a series designed by Northstar Polymers. It is specifically formulated to provide high rebound or “High Energy” and outstanding abrasion resistance coupled with excellent stability in aqueous environments. This is designed to work well with curing agents supplied by Northstar Polymers for use in cast urethane elastomers.



Polyether-MDI Prepolymer products



Polyether (PPG/polypropylene glycol)-MDI based prepolymer products are often liquid at room temperature. They can be used as a component material for room-temperature-cure casting resin formulations, moisture-cure adhesives/coatings, component for foams, and many other products.

MPC-022 : 19.0% NCO Polyether-MDI Prepolymer



MPC-022 is a polyether based MDI prepolymer used in a variety of exclusive specialty formulations by Northstar Polymers and may also be used as many other custom urethane formulations. MPC-022 is low viscosity liquid at room temperature, and it is a good candidate for a component material of room-temperature-cure polyurethane elastomer systems. Its prepolymer extension with long polyol chains allows formulators to formulate elastomer and foam polyurethane compounds in the softer Durometer hardness range. The functionality of MDI content is 2.09, and this allows formulators to compound elastomer formulations with fast green strength developments and foam formulations with faster gelling rates. Due to the 2,4 MDI isomer and pMDI content, MPC-022 is more shelf-stable than other MDI prepolymers.



MPN-023 : 18.6% NCO POlyether-MDI prepolymer for firm/hard range casting elastomer systems and more.



MPN-023 is a polyether based MDI prepolymer used in a variety of exclusive specialty formulations by Northstar Polymers and may be used as many other custom urethane formulations. MPN-023 is low viscosity liquid at room temperature, and it is a good candidate for a component material of room-temperature-cure polyurethane elastomer systems. Its prepolymer extension with shorter polyol chain allows formulators to compound elastomer and foam polyurethane within a firmer/harder flexibility range. The functionality of MDI content is 2.15, and this allows formulators to compound fast-curing elastomer formulations. Some of the common applications for MPN-023 include component materials for electronic component potting, prototyping, and mold making compounds.



MPB-028: 14.5% NCO Polyether-MDI prepolymer for softer range casting elastomer systems, foams, and more



MPB-028 is a polyether based MDI prepolymer used in a variety of exclusive specialty formulations by Northstar Polymers and may also be used as many other custom urethane formulations. MPB-028 is low viscosity liquid at room temperature, and it is a good candidate for a component material of room-temperature-cure polyurethane elastomer systems. Its prepolymer extension with longer polyol chain allows formulators to formulate elastomer and foam polyurethane compounds in the softer Durometer hardness range. The functionality of MDI content is medium low range, and this allows formulators to compound elastomer formulations with high elongation, good tensile strength, and reasonable demolding time with good green strength. Some of the common applications for MPB-028 include component materials for flexible mold-making compound for concrete molds, flexible foam formulations, soft elastomer formulations, and many other custom applications.



MPA-053 : 8.0% NCO Polyether-MDI, precursor for low functionality for room temperature casting system, coating, adhesives.



MPA-053 is polyether based MDI prepolymer. When cured with 1,4 butane diol, it makes elastomer product of 80A Shore Durometer hardness. The functionality of MDI content is very close to 2.0 and extending polyol is diol. Thus MPA-053 can make a very linear polymer when cured with 1,4 butanediol or other di-functional extender. The polyol content in MPA-053 is non-polar polyether polyol, and it can make hydrophobic urethane compounds. Due to the low functionality, addition of higher functionality prepolymer or isocyanate may be needed to increase the curing rate when this is used in a moisture cured system.



MPA-135 : 3.1% NCO Polyether-MDI prepolymer. precursor for room temperature cure casting systems, moisture-cure Coatings, adhesives, and More.



MPA-135 is polyether based MDI prepolymer. MPA-135 can be used in one of the proprietary formulations by Northstar Polymers to compound a casting resin system to make very soft yet durable products. MPA-135 can also be used as a moisture-cure coating material with a water-absorbing property. This property allows it be used as a temporary coating material, which disintegrates after immersed in water for a certain period of time working as an exposure delaying agent/film layer.



MPA-221 : 1.9% NCO polyether-mdi prepolymer with functionality 2.0. Precursor for moisture cure coating, adhesives to make film softer.



MPA-221 is polyether based MDI prepolymer with 1.9% free NCO. The composition mole ratio between MDI to polyol is approximately 2:1, which theoretically makes prepolymer with molecular structure having a long polyol chain sandwiched by two NCO groups. The theoretical functionality of MPA-221 is very close to 2.0. This makes MPA-221 a good prepolymer to modify full-prepolymer systems and moisture cure systems to yield softer films. The polyether polyol used in this formulation is more apolar, and it has good affinity to a wide range of prepolymer species and good moisture permeation for moisture-cure adhesives and coatings. The viscosity of MPA-221 can be reduced to the range easier to process by heating.
