Semi-Rigid/Structural Foams
Semi-Rigid/Structural foams have rigidity to hold up weight loading and resiliency to resist impact forces. These properties can be utilized in various molded/filled parts such as
- Light weight shock-absorbing parts
- Cast-in-place foam to fill large areas for gap-filling- Mold backing for shell molds and other structural support
- Packaging foam with specific weight bearing/ shock absorbing requirements
- Molding larger light-weight objects
2.3 pounds per cubic foot density Structural foam with Resiliancy(MPA-M02A)
4.0 pounds per cubic foot density Structural foam with Load Bearing and Resiliency (MPP-R04B)
5.5 pounds per cubic foot density semi-rigid foam with good load bearing (MAP-R06A)
Northstar Polymer has developed the following formulation specially for the applications that require a longer pot life.
9.0 pounds per cubic foot density semi-rigid foam (MPP-M09D)
The density, pot-life, and other properties can be controlled by modifications for the above standard formulations. Please contact Northstar Polymers to discuss, if you are looking for a more specific formulation to fit your application.
